Tips to Keep Your Store Safe

Jewelers Mutual's Vice President of Global Risk Services & Analytics, Howard Stone, joined other loss prevention leaders in a panel discussion at JCK Las Vegas which was featured in JCK. The panel provided guidance to jewelers on how to be continuously aware of their surroundings and take precautions to prevent their stores from being targeted by criminals.

Stone shared the importance of store owners and managers socializing critical information with store staff. Additionally, he provided appropriate steps to take when responding to a store's alarm.

“In a lot of cases, the information doesn’t trickle down. If you have a meeting every morning, utilize that. Communication is key.”

Jewelers Mutual's Loss Prevention team is continuing to drive awareness and education to keep the jewelry industry safe and secure.
